• SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION 2023-2024:

    H2M Architects & Engineers Steam Scholarship: The H2M architects & engineers STEAM scholarship is awarded on the basis of merit and character to a graduating senior who is planning to attend college and enroll in a science, technology, engineering, architecture, or math (STEAM) degree program.  Applicants must be accepted to an accredited college or university in a STEAM degree program and must not be an employee or family member of a current H2M architects & engineers employee.  Academic achievement is a significant factor in the selection process; however, there are no minimum requirements in order to apply.  An application can be picked up in the Student Services Office. Deadline: April 15, 2024.

    Southwestern Association of Volunteer Firemen (Swavf) Scholarship Program: The Southwestern Association of Volunteer Firemen of the State of New York (SWAVF) and its Ladies Auxiliary are pleased to announce its community service scholarship program for 2024.  This scholarship is open to all high school seniors who will graduate in 2024, and will be enrolling for full-time study at an accredited institution of post-secondary study in the fall of 2024.  Applicants must be either a member, junior member, ladies auxiliary member, or Fire Explorer of a SWAVF member fire department or company OR be the child or grandchild of an active member, ladies auxiliary member, or exempt member of a SWAVF member fire department or company OR be the child or grandchild of an officer, past officer, committee member, life member, or annually registered member of the SWAVF or SWAVF Ladies' Auxiliary.  This year there will be one Southwestern Firemen's Scholarship awarded in the amount of $800 and three SWAVF Ladies Auxiliary Scholarships awarded for $150 each.  The three Auxiliary Scholarships will be awarded to the top applicant from each county not represented by the SWAVF Firemen's Scholarship winner.  Application forms are available at www.SWAVF.comDeadline: April 15, 2024.   

    Taste of Buffalo Scholarship: The Taste of Buffalo, Inc. in its continuing commitment to Western New York, is proud to offer a scholarship program for college-bound students in the eight counties of Western New York who will pursue a degree in Foodservice or the Hospitality industry such as Chef, Baking & Pastry Arts, Travel & Tourism, Hotel Management, etc. Three $500.00 scholarships will be awarded and will be based on the criteria and terms described on the last page of the scholarship application.  Click here to download an application* Deadline: April 18, 2024.

    Tops Friendly Markets Scholarship: Tops Friendly Markets is proud to partner with Taste of Buffalo, Inc. to award a $1000 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts/Culinary Arts Management such as Nutrition & Wellness, Holistic Nutrition, Food Entrepreneurship, Food Retail Operations, Restaurant Operations, Food Science, Dietetics, Food Stylist, Food Photography, etc. The scholarship recipient will be selected based on the criteria and terms described on the last page of the scholarship application.     Student-View Scholarship Program: The 2024 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $14,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school.  The program includes: One $10,000 scholarship, two $1,000 scholarships, and five $500 scholarships.  No minimum SAT/ACT score or grade point average, no essay required, no lengthy application forms, no application fees.  Simply log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in  your area.  The scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications.  The scholarship winner will be announced in May 2023.  Deadline: April 23, 2024.

    Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo Scholarship: Since 1924, the Community Federation for Greater Buffalo has been awarding scholarships to students from Western New York.  Since 2000, they have awarded over $41 million in scholarships to thousands of local college students.  To take advantage of these scholarships, you must be a permanent resident in one of the eight counties of WNY (Allegany, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming); have a GPA of at least 2.0, and be accepted to an accredited non-profit college or university in the United States for full-time study at the undergraduate level.  A strong preference will be given to students who are Pell eligible and attending school in one of the eight counties of Western New York (WNY).  Scholarship applications are available now at www.cfgbscholarships.org. Deadline: May 1, 2024.

    Past National Commander Michael J. Kogutek American Legion Scholarship: The Past National Commander Michael J. Kogutek American Legion Scholarship Trust will award two $1,500 scholarships to students/veterans attending college in 2024.  This scholarship is intended to assist 8th District New York State Veterans, their families, and patriotic students who share the ideals of the American Legion. The scholarship will be awarded based on veteran status (including family members), financial need, scholastic ability, realistic goals, extracurricular activities and community involvement.  All students must show proof that they have been accepted at an accredited college or university prior to receiving the scholarship.  An application can be picked up in the Student Services Office.  Deadline: May 3, 2024.

    Erie County Committee of the American Legion Scholarship:  This year the Erie County Convention of the American Legion will be at the American Legion at the Matthew Glab Post 1477, located at 1965 Abbott Rd, Lackawanna, NY 14218 on June 1, 2024, and it is known at this time that there will be at least four (4) awards presented with a value of five hundred dollars ($500) each with a possibility of a few more scholarships. Scholarship awards are based on monetary need, scholastic ability, realistic goals, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement.   Applicants must be available to receive the award at the American Legion County Convention on June 1, 2024.  Applications can be picked up in the Student Services office.  Deadline: May 6, 2024.  

    Cheektowaga Central Teacher Association Scholarship: The Cheektowaga Central Teacher Association will be awarding a scholarship to a graduating Cheektowaga Central High School senior pursuing a career in the field of education.  Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 85.  Applications can be picked up in the Student Services Office.  Applications must be returned to Mrs. O'Connor in the Student Services Office on or before May 31, 2024.  

    Christine F. Malarkey Memorial Scholarship: This $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Cheektowaga Central senior planning on pursuing a career in the field of education, health-related, or science occupation. An application can be picked up in the Student Services Office. Applications must be returned to Mrs. O'Connor in the Student Services Office on or before May 31, 2024

    The Paige T. Casillo Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a Cheektowaga Central senior pursuing a career in education or the helping field. An application can be picked up in the Student Services Office. Applications must be returned to Mrs. O'Connor in the Student Services Office by May 31, 2024.

    William Reynolds Memorial Scholarship: The William Reynolds Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating Cheektowaga Central High School senior pursuing a career in music.  This scholarship is presented in memory of Mr. Reynolds, who was a band director in the Cheektowaga Central School District from 1973-1995.   Applications can be picked up in the Student Services Office.  Completed applications should be turned in to the Student Services Office on or before May 31st.  Deadline: May 31, 2024

    The Engineering Society of Buffalo, Inc. Scholarships:  The Engineering Society of Buffalo, Inc. is now accepting applications for their 2024 scholarships.  High school students who anticipate acceptance in an A.B.E.T www.abet.org certified engineering or technology program at WNY institutions of higher learning are eligible to apply. Four (4) total scholarships are awarded each year to matriculated Engineering or Technology students; $300 per semester-Total $2,400.  Recipients must be matriculated in the fall semester following graduation from high school.  The award is based on scholastic record, financial need, extracurricular activities, and leadership potential.  Scholarship applications may be downloaded at www.tesb.orgDeadline: June 1, 2024.

    Daniel J. Adamczyk Scholarship: The Daniel J. Adamczyk Memorial Foundation honors the memory of Daniel Adamczyk by providing education about the fatal nature of prescription drug abuse, provides resources to prevent future addictions, and develops outreach programs to help those battling addictions through Danny’s Bags.  The foundation is pleased to award a $2,000 scholarship to one student attending a college or university to pursue a career in the first line medical field. The scholarship recipient will be awarded $1,000 in the fall of 2024 and $1,000 in the spring of 2025.  To honor Danny’s memory, preference shall be given to students who are pursuing a career in first line medical care, i.e. E.M.T., paramedic, nursing, addiction counseling.  Click here to apply.  Deadline: July 12, 2024.

    NYS SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) INCENTIVE PROGRAM:  The NYS STEM Incentive Program provides tuition awards to students who are New York State residents attending a public degree-granting college or university located in New York State. Recipients must be in the top 10 percent of students of their high school graduating class, pursue an approved, two or four-year STEM degree program and agree to live in NYS and work in a STEM field in NYS for five years after graduation.  Click here for more information.
