Nominations for these awards may be made by anyone who recognizes and can substantiate the contribution(s) of the nominee. The following evidence supporting your nomination must be returned with the nomination form:

1. A brief description of the nature of the contribution and/or outstanding commitment. 

2. Additional documentation which will substantiate your statement. Examples are a newspaper clipping, and published information or a letter from another individual. 

An interview may be requested by the Board of Education as part of the selection process. 

The next awards presentation is tentatively scheduled for March 1, 2024.

Please submit nominations using the Nomination Form by December 14, 2023.

Community Involvement Award Categories

Category 1 - Outstanding Individual(s) 

Presented to an individual who significantly serves the district as a volunteer, a committee member, or a contributor to sports/athletic or arts programs, or an individual who over the years has made a significant contribution to CCSD. 

Category 2 - Business/Agency/Organization 

Presented to a business, agency or organization that has made a significant contribution to the students of CCSD. 

Wall of Fame Award

This distinguished award honors the outstanding achievement and contributions of a Cheektowaga graduate (of at least 10 years) who has achieved great distinction in academia, public service, business, athletics, visual/performing arts, etc.
