Dear Cheektowaga Central School Parents and Staff,

Heat advisories have been forecasted this week, Tuesday, June 18th through Thursday, June 20th.

At this time, school will remain open.

Each principal will be utilizing their air conditioned spaces to accommodate the conditions when needed. We will be modifying student activities and allowing for multiple hydration breaks throughout the day.

We respect any family’s decision to keep children home, however, please keep in mind that Middle and High School students have scheduled local and Regents exams throughout the week. All exams are required and will be administered as scheduled.

As a reminder, there is no school on Wednesday, June 19th for the observance of Juneteenth.

We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the week and make any necessary adjustments as needed.
