Michael Fatta Named Director of Human Resources
The Cheektowaga Central School District (CSD) named Michael Fatta to the position of Director of Human Resources, effective Jan. 9. Fatta will be responsible for planning, implementing, directing and maintaining the district’s personnel services; serving as a resource, and maintaining staffing to ensure that personnel functions conform to district state and federal requirements. In addition, he has been named District Safety Coordinator, Registration and Residency Coordinator.
Fatta has made the move to Central Office after a long standing career with the Cheektowaga CSD. He began his career at Cheektowaga Central High School in 2000 as a physical education teacher. In 2014 he was named assistant high school principal. While at the high school he also served as a football coach for 20 years.
He earned a Bachelor's degree from Canisius College in Physical Education and then went on to receive a dual Master's degree in Education and School District Administration. In addition to his degrees, Fatta holds a New York State Teaching Certification in physical education, a School Building Administrator certification, and a School District Administrator certification.
When asked, Fatta said “I love this school district and our community. I’m proud to say that I was a 1995 graduate of Cheektowaga Central High School. I’m excited to be a part of the district leadership team and look forward to building Cheektowaga CSD into a school district that reaches its full potential.”
