Fun with STEM

Ms. Stroud's and Mrs. Stark's grade 3 students at Union East Elementary enjoyed a chilly and windy day outside testing their "pumpkin moving devices" that they designed as a STEM activity. Some pumpkins traveled 24 to 73 feet over the two days of testing. Assistant Superintendent Scott Zipp attended the festivities. He also offered some scientific advice to help students improve their device after it failed. Despite the weather, everyone had fun and learned a lot!
