On Friday, the Lady Warriors Varsity tennis team lost a close one to crosstown rival Maryvale.  Emily Woelffel and Gemma Barberio defeated their opponents in 2 sets 6-3 and 6-2.  Brianna Brown and Sam Golab came back from a 3-6 loss to win the next two sets of 6-3 and 10-6.  Qin Li made her debut at singles winning 2 games in her set.

Yesterday, the girls lost a heartbreaker to West Seneca East in a doubleheader.  All of the girls played their hearts out and had great games.  Gemma Barberio defeated her opponent 8-7 in an exciting match in 1st singles.  River Eisenhardt won 9 games in her 2 sets.  Sara Domanowski won 10 games in her 2 sets.  Emily and Qin won both sets 8-3 and 8-5 behind excellent serves and rallies by both ladies.  Brianna Brown and Sam Golab won their first match 8-4, but unfortunately lost in the 2nd match 7-8 in a match that can down to the last point.  The girls play East Aurora today at home.
