From the Desk of Mrs. Zaccarine
November 13, 2018
Today marks the beginning of the second quarter. We wanted to take this time to introduce Scholar Hour! Each of our teachers has chosen one day each week to stay after and provide additional support to our students. Whether your student is missing work and falling behind, struggling with a new unit, or wants to jump from a grade in the 80s to one in the 90s, Scholar Hour is the perfect time to get to work.
Scholar Hour takes place Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. This gives your child the option to stay and get additional support four times each week! When dismissal begins, all students who have signed up with a teacher, will report to that teacher’s classroom. They will be able to work from 2:30 - 3:15 when they will be called for the late bus. In order to stay a student must confirm the after school support with a teacher and have permission from his/her parent. Students may not stay if they have not previously spoken to a teacher and cannot stay if they are not with a designated Scholar Hour teacher.
Thank you for encouraging your child(ren) to take advantage of this great opportunity. It will truly be a positive experience for all of us as we strengthen our educational program and students feel more comfortable and successful in their classes.
Click on the link belowl find a list of support days by grade level. Our goal is to have teachers at each grade level available all four days. Should you have any questions about this schedule, please reach out to Mr. Zaccarine (firstname.lastname@example.org; 686-3663), or your child’s teacher for more information.
